Born 1953 in Singen, Switzerland; lives in Zurich. Weggenmann's work, generally a series of broad irregular horizontal stripes, executed in tempera on paper, car enamel on aluminum or painted directly on the wall, presents a bold iconic image of color. Rather than evoking the particular resonances of color he seeks to create a "signal", grounded in the act of perception.
